This act seeks to prevent cruelty to farm animals by setting minimum standards for the confinement of livestock.The new legislation requires farmers to give chickens,pigs and calves adequate minimum space. This law applies to all uncooked pork sold in Massachusetts, whether it is produced here or out of state.
