August/September 2020
the Family Meals Month issue
A positive we can take from the last few months is that we have spent more time together. Our families were already the center of our existence and the reason why we wake up in the morning — but now even more so. The daily interactions with our sons or daughters, brothers or sisters, pets, partners, parents or grandparents, have strengthened the family bond — and that has boundless benefits. The restrictions will ease one day, but the love that has been intensified in these days, for our families, will not.
That’s why we have to do what it takes to fortify that bond. National Family Meals MonthTM is a movement that does that by promoting families’ health and happiness, and we’re all about it. In this issue of Big Y Dig In Magazine, you’ll find incredible recipes that nurture good times with the family, you’ll discover ways to feed your mind, body and soul and you’ll get to know a little bit more about some of our vendors that make us proud every day.
June/July 2020
the Back to the Backyard issue
Even in difficult and uncertain times, one thing that we can count on is family, friends and neighbors coming together to support each other. We will continue to show you, our customers and all the communities we serve, that you can still find the wonderful people, products and services you depend on within our walls. We continue to restock our shelves, and we’re beginning to see the best from our local farmers in our stores.
Luckily for everyone, the weather is turning, and the good vibes are shining like a noonday sun. Let’s fire up the grill and the flavor of the season. We all need it. And remember, even if the gatherings are smaller, the fun can be just as big.
