This year, we learned a lot about ourselves. We rediscovered who we are as a community. We showed commitment to one another. We were willing to do the right thing for our neighbors. We faced uncertainty and made sacrifices for the greater good. The actions of this year are indeed a reflection of who we are.
We are proud to say that our doors remained open, taking every precaution to ensure yours and our employees’ health and safety. Throughout the year, we looked after each other, so it’s only fitting to celebrate. Celebrate the little or big moments or the small gatherings with friends. Celebrate that we are still connected and that we belong to a beloved community of people who give their best to one another.
Let’s cherish being with our loved ones, toast for happiness and togetherness and indulge in festive cookies, cakes and pies. Along with our extended Big Y family, we’ve been Bringing Food to Life for 85 years. Through all the changing times, traditions and celebrations. There’s so much to be grateful for. In all the years, we’ve had one simple goal: for our store to have a personal relationship with you, our cherished customer. Now more than ever, we want you to know that our family stands behind your familyin celebrating and strengthening our great community - and that’s something we can all get behind. the Family Meals Month issue
A positive we can take from the last few months is that we have spent more time together. Our families were already the center of our existence and the reason why we wake up in the morning — but now even more so. The daily interactions with our sons or daughters, brothers or sisters, pets, partners, parents or grandparents, have strengthened the family bond — and that has boundless benefits. The restrictions will ease one day, but the love that has been intensified in these days, for our families, will not. That’s why we have to do what it takes to fortify that bond. National Family Meals MonthTM is a movement that does that by promoting families’ health and happiness, and we’re all about it. We continue to restock our shelves, and we’re beginning to see the best from our local farmers in our stores. Luckily for everyone, the weather is turning, and the good vibes are shining like a noonday sun. Let’s fire up the grill and the flavor of the season. We all need it. And remember, even if the gatherings are smaller, the fun can be just as big.

Spring is in full effect and, for many of us (yes, myself included), this is the best time of the year. It only takes a little peek into our stores to see them glistening with life. A plethora of colorful varieties of fruits and vegetables illuminate our produce section and Easter candy sprinkles color into our aisles. Plus, we get to honor the most important person in our lives, our Moms. What’s not to love about this time of the year? This colorful issue of Dig In wants to add a pop of color into your life.
