1. Wash hands with soap and water.

2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

3. Wash hands with soap and water.

4. In a large bowl, combine peaches, 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, 2 tablespoons pancake mix and maple syrup; mix well.

5. Spoon fruit mixture into a 9-inch square glass baking dish; set aside.

6. In a medium bowl, combine remaining pancake mix and 2 tablespoons sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Add water and stir to make a soft dough. Spoon over filling and sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons sugar.

7. Place baking dish on a foil-lined cookie sheet and bake for 50 minutes or until filling is bubbly and top is nicely browned.

8. Top with whipped or ice cream before serving.
