Hawaiian Hamburgers

Bring a hint of the tropics to your next backyard barbecue with our Hawaiian Hamburgers. Topped with a citrusy sweet BBQ sauce and lightly grilled pineapple slices, these burgers are sure to have you and your guests feeling like you’re in a tropical paradise.

Note: Wash hands with soap and water.
1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, scallions, Worcestershire and pepper; mix well. Shape mixture into six 1-inch thick patties.
2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine orange marmalade, barbecue sauce, orange juice and hot sauce. Bring to a boil, stirring often; remove from heat and let cool. Once cool, reserve a 1/4 cup and set aside.
3. Spray a grill rack with cooking spray and preheat to medium. Add burgers and grill for 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness is reached, turning and brushing often with marmalade/barbecue mixture.
4. Place pineapple slices on grill and cook for approximately 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Serve burgers on toasted buns with lettuce, pineapple rings and reserved marmalade/barbecue mixture.
