1. Wash hands with soap and water.
2. Rinse all fresh produce items under cold running water prior to prepping.
3. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine sugar and water. Cook, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes or until mixture simmers and sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let simple syrup cool completely.
4. In a serving pitcher, combine simple syrup, gin and lemon juice. Fill 2 glasses with ice. In each glass, add gin mixture and top with some hard seltzer. Garnish each with an orange slice and 2 cherries.
