Seafood Supper Club Recipe

Buttermilk biscuits made with sharp cheddar cheese and bright green onions are a perfect complement to any seafood meal.

Ingredients

Directions

1. Wash hands with soap and water.

2. Rinse fresh produce.

3. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

4. Place a nonstick baking mat or parchment paper on a cookie pan.

5. In a small bowl whisk together egg with buttermilk.

6. In a separate large bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt.

7. Work diced butter into dry ingredients until it is a crumb consistency using your hands, a pastry blender or pulse in a food processor. Wash hands after handling raw flour.

8. Add cheese and chives to flour mixture and mix.

9. Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients and mix slowly with clean hands until combined. Do not overmix.

10. Dollop large spoonfuls of batter onto baking pan, about 2 1/2 inches wide and tall. Keep spaced 2 inches apart, use 2 pans if necessary. Wash hands after handling raw batter.

11. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Allow to cool on wire rack for 5 minutes before devouring.
