Ingredients

Directions

Note: Wash hands with soap and water.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9x9-inch pan with foil, making sure the foil extends over the edges of pan. Grease and coat pan with cocoa powder; set aside.
2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine butter and chocolate. Melt in 30-second intervals, whisking after each, until completely smooth. Whisk in sugar until completely combined; whisk in eggs and vanilla.
3. Using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, fold in cocoa powder, flour and salt. Batter will be very thick. Spread evenly into prepared pan.
4. Bake for 30-32 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and top with crushed candy canes, gently pressing down to adhere to brownies; let cool before removing from pan with foil overhang and cutting into squares.
