1: Preheat oven to broil.
2: Wash hands with soap and water.
3: Rinse all fresh produce items under cold running water prior to prepping.
4: In a small bowl, combine tomatoes, garlic, shallot, parsley, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
5: Top baguette slices with a piece of mozzarella. Place on ungreased baking sheets and broil 3-4 inches from heat for 2 minutes or until cheese begins to melt. Remove from oven and let cool.
6: With a slotted spoon, top each slice with about 1 tablespoon tomato mixture and garnish with basil leaves.
