Basic Vinaigrette Dressing

This basic vinaigrette recipe is a great base for any kind of dressing you can image. Add herbs or spices, change out oils or vinegars for flavored varieties or try the variations listed below.

Directions

1. Wash hands with soap and water.

2. Combine all ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake until well blended.

Variations:
Balsamic Vinaigrette: Use balsamic vinegar in place of cider or wine vinegar.
Herb Vinaigrette: Add 1 tablespoon fresh chopped thyme, tarragon or rosemary to the dressing.
Honey Mustard Vinaigrette: Add 1-2 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard and 1 teaspoon honey.
