Ingredients

Directions

1. Wash hands with soap and water.

2. Rinse fresh produce.

3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

4. Wash and core apples, leaving enough of the core at the base of the apple to contain the filling. Note: A melon baller is recommended for better results than a traditional apple corer!

5. Combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped pecans in a small bowl. Roll mixture into small logs and press into each apple to fill the core.

6. Fill a 2-quart baking dish with about 3/4 cup water or enough to cover the bottom.

7. Place apples upright in dish. Bake 40 to 60 minutes or until apples are soft and the filling is browned.

8. Remove apples from baking dish, dry bottoms if needed, and place on serving dish.

9. Drizzle with vinegar and top with a tablespoon of crème fraîche. Serve and enjoy!
