Apple Fritters

Apples are crunchy and delicious out of hand. Not to mention crazy nutritious. And, autumn’s classic favorite fruit has tons of versatile uses. This fritter recipe is easy and flavorful and melts in your mouth.

Note: Wash hands with soap and water.
1. In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt.
2. In a separate bowl, beat together eggs and seltzer. Stir egg mixture into flour mixture until smooth.
3. In a deep fryer or heavy skillet, heat oil to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
4. Slice apples into ½-inch rings. Dip apple slices in batter and fry, a few at a time, turning once, for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden. Drain on paper towels and dust with confectioners sugar before serving.
