Date BBQ Sauce

- Wash hands with soap and water.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine tomato paste, diced tomatoes, vinegar, molasses, dates, water, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika and onion powder. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Once cool, puree in a blender or food processor.
- Transfer to a container with a tight-fitting lid and season with salt and pepper; mix well.
- Use immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Sauce will last about 10-12 days in the refrigerator.
