Ouh La La!
Make the Most of Your French Toast
One of America's favorite breakfasts is about to get a tasty revolution. Say bonjour to simple—yet delicious—ways to reimagine the fabulous French toast. So gather around the table and enjoy it with friends, family or just by yourself. There's no wrong way to go about it because it will be c’est magnifique.
Top French Toast Tips
1. Best Breads.
We like to use thick bread like Texas toast so that it soaks up the mixture really well. The longer it soaks, the better. If you have time, soak it for 15-20 minutes.
2. Batter Basics.
One of the secret ingredients we like to add to our “batter” is flour. Try it out! Your French toast will feel fluffier. Milk with a higher fat content will make the batter creamier. But don’t add too much dairy—it will prevent the egg in the mixture from cooking properly.
3. Correct Cooking.
Preheat your pan so that the moment the bread hits the pan, it starts cooking and the batter won’t seep.
