Big Y Donates $75,000 to Red Cross Hawaii Wildfire Relief
SPRINGFIELD, MA (October 31, 2023) – Big Y added to the collected donations from customers and employees from August 21, 2023 – September 6, 2023 through their traditional registers, online and myExpress check out for Hawaii Wildfire Relief.
Community and employee donations along with additional support from Big Y resulted in a donation of $75,000 which was donated to the American Red Cross network response to provide humanitarian relief to people affected by wildfires in Hawaii.
According to President and CEO Charles L. D’Amour, " We have all witnessed the heartbreaking effects of these wildfires in Hawaii. We are grateful to partner with the American Red Cross to provide some measure of support for these communities. Our thanks go out to our entire Big Y Family, including our customers and employees for joining us to support this important relief"
