1. Wash hands with soap and water.
2. Rinse fresh produce.
3. In a large stockpot over medium-low heat, combine wine, honey, ginger, sugar, orange zest, orange slices, cloves and cinnamon sticks. Gently warm for 25 minutes; avoid boiling. Stir occasionally to make sure that the honey and sugar have dissolved completely.
4. Remove from heat, strain into a serving bowl and stir in brandy. Serve in mugs.
