Sweet mixed berries with a buttery biscuit topped with homemade whipped cream.

Directions
1. Wash hands with soap and water.
2. Rinse fresh produce.
3. Place oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
4. In a large bowl whisk together, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and 2 tablespoons sugar. Wash hands after handling raw flour.
5. Blend in butter with a pastry blender or 2 forks until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk and stir just until a soft, sticky dough forms.
6. Drop dough in 6 mounds about 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar. Bake for 12 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Transfer biscuits to a rack and cool.
7. In a large bowl using an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat together cream, 1 tablespoon sugar and vanilla until gently soft peaks form.
8. Carefully cut biscuits in half horizontally and arrange bottom half, split side up, on 6 plates. Top each with berries, whipped cream and top half of biscuit.
