Furikake Seasoning

Furikake is a versatile everyday seasoning that you can use on rice, noodles, snacks, and sides. It’s packed with umami flavor and nutrition, thanks to seaweed and toasted sesame seeds. Make a small batch at home and store in a shaker.

Directions
1. Wash hands with soap and water.
2. Saute sesame seeds on low heat for about 6 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly until they become fragrant and lightly toasted. Transfer to a small bowl.
3. With kitchen shears, cut the nori sheets into tiny strips, about 1 to 2 centimeters long.
4. Add the seaweed, salt and sugar to the toasted sesame seeds and mix well.
5. Store mixture in an airtight container. Sprinkle as desired over popcorn, avocado toast, rice, vegetables, salads or dips.
