Vanilla Buttermilk Waffles with White Chocolate & Strawberries

Warm waffles topped with sweet white chocolate shavings and fresh strawberries.

Ingredients

Directions

1. Wash hands with soap and water.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, melted butter and vanilla. Wash hands after handling raw eggs.

3. In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to egg mixture and whisk just until smooth. Let batter rest briefly. Wash hands after handling raw eggs and flour.

4. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions and coat with cooking spray.

5. Ladle batter onto iron (about 1/4 cup for an 8-inch round iron), close and cook for 4 minutes or until just light golden brown.

6. Top waffles with strawberries, white chocolate and maple syrup and serve immediately.
