6 cups apple cider

6 Tbsp. Big Y Vermont pure maple syrup

3 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice

6 whole cloves

3 cinnamon sticks

2 whole star anise

¾ cup bourbon whiskey

DIRECTIONS

In a large saucepot over medium-low heat, combine apple cider, maple syrup, lemon juice, cloves, cinnamon sticks and star anise; stir. Let simmer for 20 minutes; avoid boiling. When ready to serve, remove from heat, strain into a serving bowl and stir in whiskey. Ladle into mugs and serve warm, not hot.
