1 orange, zested and juiced

6 whole cloves

5 whole allspice

3 cinnamon sticks

4 cups cranberry juice cocktail

4 cups apple cider

Optional garnishes: cinnamon sticks, orange slices, apple slices, fresh cranberries

DIRECTIONS

Use a vegetable peeler to remove 3-inch-long sections of orange peel from the orange, avoiding the white pith underneath; cut orange in half and juice both halves. In a large pot over medium-high heat, combine orange peel, orange juice, cloves, allspice, cinnamon sticks, cranberry juice and apple cider; bring to a boil. Partially cover pot, reduce heat to low and let simmer for 45 minutes. Strain and serve warm.
