Add All Ingredients

1 cup Big Y pure olive oil

1 tsp. Big Y ground black pepper

1 tsp. Big Y crushed red pepper flakes

1 garlic clove, finely minced

1½ tsp. Big Y dried oregano

- pinch Big Y salt

1 lb. mozzarella, sliced

2 large tomatoes, sliced

¼ cup fresh basil leaves


Wash hands with soap and water.

Rinse all fresh produce items under cold running water.

In a small saucepan over low heat, warm olive oil slightly. Add black pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic and oregano. Let simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to blend; remove from heat and let cool. Add salt and stir.

Place mozzarella slices in a shallow pan and pour seasoned oil over top. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for minimum 2 hours.

Arrange mozzarella slices and tomato slices on a plate; season to taste with additional salt and pepper and garnish with basil leaves before serving.
