Hearty Turkey Chili

Add All Ingredients
1 lb. 99% lean ground turkey
2 cups onion, finely chopped
2 cups Big Y tomato purée
½ cup sweet bell pepper, finely chopped
4 Tbsp. Big Y chili powder
½ cup water
15-oz. can Big Y dark kidney beans, drained and rinsed
2 tsp. Big Y dried oregano
2 tsp. Big Y ground cumin
2 garlic cloves, chopped
¼ tsp. Big Y cayenne pepper
1 4.5-oz. can chopped green chiles
- dash Old Bay seasoning
- fresh parsley leaves, for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Wash hands with soap and water.
Rinse all fresh produce items under cold running water.
In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, cook ground turkey and onion until turkey is no longer pink and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit on a food thermometer. Break up large clumps of turkey with a spoon. Wash hands with soap and water after handling uncooked turkey. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and let simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve garnished with parsley if desired.
