Spring is finally here and so are some of the familiar sounds—birds chirping, steaks sizzling and our aisles buzzing with people getting ready for the season. As your days get busier with the warmer weather, know that Big Y’s Dig In will always be online for you so you can find ideas and inspiration on the best things to cook this spring.

  • March kicks off Women’s History Month along with International Women’s Day on the 8th. Join me in recognizing the thousands of ways women of all cultures have positively impacted lives in our communities. Let’s also recognize our many coworkers who, day in and day out, are always there for us. Their commitment is an example to all of us.
  • If you celebrate Lent, check out some of the great recipes we have to help make no-meat Friday dinners easy and delicious.
  • If you’re like me, you can’t wait to dive into seafood. There’s no better time of the year to enjoy the fresh and frozen choices available at your local Big Y Seafood Department. Our seafood specialists are always ready to provide recommendations for new varieties and preparation suggestions.
  • March is also Frozen Food Month. Within our Frozen Food Department, we have a myriad of options to choose from. Whether you’re feeding a crowd, a couple of friends or just you, frozen foods are the perfect way to put together a delicious meal in minutes.
  • St Patrick’s Day gives us a reason to celebrate. At Big Y, you’ll find ways to let your inner leprechaun out. Big Y’s Dig In offers ideas for traditional Irish fare and inspiration to let the shenanigans begin.
