Traditional Medicinals Tea Recall

Information

Traditional Medicinals is recalling one lot each of its Throat Coat Lemon Echinacea and Everyday Detox Lemon Tea may be contaminated with Salmonella. An ingredient within this product has tested positive for Salmonella in the retained samples at the supplier. Salmonella was not detected in their own testing of this lot or in this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella may experience some or all of these symptoms: fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
