Aquarium Jell-O
|
Before you start....
Check first with your Mom or Dad to be sure it's OK for you to cook. A grown-up should be in the kitchen to help, especially when using the stove and handling hot things
- Read the recipe carefully. Make sure that you have all the ingredients (foods) and equipment (measuring spoons, cups, pitcher, etc.) you will need.
- Make room to work. Clear and wash the counter.
- Get out everything you will need to make the recipe.
- Wash your hands. Make the recipe and then read it carefully again to be sure you haven't forgotten any ingredient.
- When you are through, remember that a good cook cleans up! Wash things in warm, soapy water.

INGREDIENTS:
-Goldfish bowl – new and clean
-red hots or Jelly Belly gravel beans
-blue Jello
-ice cubes
-cold water
-purple endive
-parsley sprigs
-gummy fish
|
DIRECTIONS:
In the bottom of the new, clean gold fish bowl place the red hots or Jelly Belly Beans to look like the “gravel.”
Mix enough blue Jello to fill the gold fish bowl. Pour into the bowl carefully to avoid disturbing the gravel.
If you desire seaweed in your fish bowl poke some purple endive or something else “seaweed like” into the gravel.
Once the Jello begins to set, use a wooden skewer to push in the gummy fish.
Feel free to add any other items to the Jello Aquarium. Remember to remove any non-edible items before serving.
Enjoy!!!!
