Hildene is a unique community attraction. Robert Todd Lincoln, son of President Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln, built his Georgian Revival home in 1905. Lincoln descendants occupied Hildene until 1975. On a promontory, Hildene has breathtaking views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Gardens, walking & cross-country skiing trails, historic observatory, museum store and farm. Open daily 9:30 to 4:30 except Thanksgiving, December 24, 25 & 26, and Easter.
