Juicy sweet Cara Cara oranges have arrived! Freshly picked from our groves, these pink navel oranges are extremely delicious. The fruit and juice have a deep orange flavor with sweet-cherry flavored undertones. This Venezuelan beauty is medium-sized and round, with a yellow-orange rind and is usually seedless. The flesh is a brilliant reddish-pink, which makes it a wonderful accent to salads.
Serving: Three medium-sized Cara Cara Oranges equal approximately one pound. Display Cara Cara Orange with other citrus, including: blood oranges, pummelos, kumquats, pixie tangerines, volcano oranges, oro blancos, and uniq fruit.
Seasonality: Available late December –March.
Selection & Storage: Choose Cara Cara Oranges that are firm and heavy for their size. Cara Cara Oranges may have a full-colored pink-reddish blush. Avoid blemishes and shriveled or moldy spots. For the juiciest, sweetest fruit, look for Cara Cara Oranges with a sweet, clean fragrance. Store at cool room temperatures for up to one week or refrigerate for up to two weeks.
