This is the time of year when many of us like to sit back for a second, reflect and think about the many blessings we enjoy: the extra time spent with those most dear, relatives and friends visiting for a meal and a night of reminiscing, nobody worried about time or calories, just enjoying one another. The old-fashioned beauty of a New England winter, with sparkling lights in the snow and decorations as far as the eye can see. The look of pure joy on the kids’ faces when they open up their gifts, the ones they’ve waited all year for. The special traditions you share with your family, and, of course, the food.
But when it’s your turn to host the annual holiday meal, finding the
time to enjoy those many blessings can be hard to achieve with all the planning, preparing and cooking that is involved. Well not this year. We’ve put together the perfect menu, one that lets you decide which parts of the meal you really want to focus on, and which parts you can take shortcuts with — both time and money. Which part will be completely homemade, and which will be semi-homemade? It’s up to you. and your budget accordingly, and you’ll still be creating a delicious and memorable holiday feast.

Come to Big Y for all of your holiday entertaining needs! Stop by our Butcher Shop and ask Sam for your perfectly trimmed roast, and make a side trip over to Seafood for the freshest catches of the day. Then head over to the Floral Department for just-cut, classic centerpieces and holiday decor. Don’t forget to pick up a custom-made deli platter or two. And of course, no holiday celebration would be complete without decadent desserts from our bakery. We have everything you need to make this year’s party picture perfect.
