About the owner: George Scott
Founder of Scotts' Jamaican Bakery, George Scott began his career in 1947 as a teacher in Jamaica, teaching English and French. He continued teaching until 1977 when he immigrated to Canada and started his second career by opening a Jamaican bakery. Two years later, he moved his family and business to Hartford, Connecticut.
