“When I came in this Saturday morning, I was not sure what the HUB was. Being led into the training room, I was warmly invited to take a seat in front of a computer that was tinkling with soothing music. My trainer was incredibly helpful in introducing me to this new medium. Showing me the ingenious News Page, informing me of the newest updated information about Big Y®. I was thrilled! It was more than just a newsletter, it contained information about jobs and links to course catalogs. I also learned that this neat program gives me credit hours that count towards my BYU degree. By taking tests on the HUB, I can earn my degree at Big Y University. Not only this, but when I work on my learning plan on this system, I am reviewed on my training. I learned things that will make me more efficient. I found the HUB to be extremely well organized and I am very excited for my future with the HUB. Only one thing upsets me about it- Why didn’t I think of it!”

“What is the Hub? That was my question after I heard people around our store discussing it. It sounded exciting so I couldn’t wait to learn more about it. After attending a meeting introducing the HUB, I had the opportunity to try it out for myself. The assignments are fun, interactive and educational. Who ever said learning can’t be fun? As a Head Cashier the HUB is helping me become more efficient at my job, while giving me the ability to learn continuously. Being a cashier trainer and working with the HUB is very exciting since we are bringing training to a whole new level. I think this is a wonderful way for new employees to learn about our company and their new job. The HUB will make training exciting for the trainee, which will lead to a more knowledgeable, productive and happy employee!! So far the HUB is only leading to positive feedback and I am very happy to be a part of this wonderful advancement within Big Y.
