- It is important to remember that when buying fresh chicken make sure to keep it cold at 41 degrees F or below to prevent bacteria growth.
- It should be use within 1-2 days or freeze it for later use.
- Many stores now sell fully cooked chicken, either as a rotisserie chicken or fried chicken. Fully cooked chicken must be kept at 135 degrees F or above and should be eaten within 2 hours of purchasing. You can also refrigerate it or freeze it for later use.
